We inform that a short doctoral course on
by Professor Sonia Marfia will take place on May 29-30, 2019 at the Department of Engineering of the University of Roma III.
The course will focus on the study of some homogenization techniques for the modelling of composite materials whose constituents present a linear or nonlinear mechanical response. In particular, analytical techniques, such as Eshelby’s solution, Self-Consistent and Mori Tanaka approaches and numerical procedures based on the Transformation Field Analysis are presented. Advantages and disadvantages of each homogenization technique are underlined and possible future developments are proposed.
